"Universities" account for the majority of scientific output in Greece. The chapter examines bibliometric indicators for the publications produced by 21 Universities. The table below presents the number of publications and citations for each University. Data corresponds to the period 2006-2010 and displays progression rates when compared to data which emerges from the preceding 5 year period, 2004-2008 –presented in the study that EKT published in 2010-.

Publications by Research Centers and hospitals operating in Universities were also included in the total number of publications by University.

Due to their relatively small out of publications, the International Hellenic University, the Athens School of Fine Arts and the University of Western Greece were not represented in the graphs.
